The Brief: To organise a three-day conference for the European directors of an international advertising company in an unusual European venue not more than one hour from an airport somewhere in the centre of Europe.

Aim: Closer working relationships between the national directors of the company's different European offices.

Solution: We found a Chateau near Strasbourg, hired lots of musical instruments to decorate the meeting room and sprung a surprise on the delegates: one lunch-time their boss, a keen amateur jazz pianist, got onto the stage and played with a local French jazz trio. They had never met before and didn't speak the same language, but they made beautiful music.
